wedding photography

Romance can’t be manufactured. Romance is the little things that remind people of why they fell in love in the first place.  That’s why I always feel privileged to be asked to shoot someone’s big day.  Capturing that unique spark between people is more romantic than any box of chocolates in my book.

capture special moments

The key to taking a good bridal, wedding or engagement picture is capturing the connection and love between the couple and their family and friends.  Whether it’s the way the bride and bridegroom hold hands, the look between the bride and father-of-the-bride or the first dance between the happy couple.  My aim as a professional wedding photographer is to capture those special moments in a beautiful, emotional and stunning way.

it’s all about detail

Wedding photography is also about the detail.  Capturing the beauty of Amsterdam in the background of the family wedding shot; photos of the wedding cake and champagne reception; beautiful pictures of the couple’s first dance; or fun portraits of the bitter ballen handed out to fuel the dancing partygoers into the night.  My mission is to capture all of the detail, so you have everlasting memories of your wedding day.

I’m also a storyteller who uses natural light to showcase a wedding venue and capture the beauty of all of the planning: from the wedding dress and the bridal party getting ready; the groom and best man’s suits; the first look of the couple together, to the floral arrangements and the wedding banquet.  I know just how much planning, thought and love has gone into your celebration and how important it is that the wedding photography captures this in a natural way.

that unique spark

I love to take photography of all types of ceremonies and events in Amsterdam and North Holland; from traditional Dutch weddings, LGBTQ weddings to registered partnerships at the Gemeente. I also specialise in taking couple’s engagement photos and engagement party pictures and pictures of wedding rehearsal dinners. I guess I am just a hopeless romantic!  And for me, creating a photo that captures that unique spark between the couple is more romantic than any box of chocolates.  Pass me the tissues!
